From daily dive trips and certifications or advanced instruction to snorkeling, freediving, and our introductory Discover SCUBA Diving program, we will ensure that you make the most of your time with us. Safety is our top priority, as is customer service, and our team in the shop and on the dive boat are standing by to provide you with a great experience!
Red Hook Dive Center is a full-service PADI Dive Center and the only SCUBAPRO Platinum Dealer on the island of St. Thomas. We are located in American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook on the East End of St. Thomas and are open Monday thru Sunday (Monday – Saturday from 9am – 5pm and Sunday from 9am – 3pm).
Red Hook Dive Center provides daily two-tank dive trips on Fool’s Gold, our trusty 42’ United States Coast Guard inspected vessel. Fool’s Gold can accommodate a maximum of 12 divers with 3 crew and is conveniently located just steps away from our shop in Red Hook at American Yacht Harbor D-Dock.
As we cast off and make our way to the dive sites, our courteous and professional staff will assist you in boarding, provide a full safety briefing and boat orientation, and help assemble all of your equipment.
Your dive trip will start with a check in at our water front dive center in Red Hook at American Yacht Harbor. We will get you set up with any gear you need, make sure all waivers are signed, and you might even be able to grab a coffee before you leave.
Once all guests arrive, you will meet your dive leader or instructor for the excursion and then everyone will head to Fool’s Gold. Before you get in the water, our crew will give a detailed boat briefing outlining the procedures for diving off our vessel. Every dive is led by a SCUBA professional who will brief you on the dive plan, help you monitor depth and bottom time, and guide you on an exciting underwater tour. All you have to do is breathe, kick, pay attention to your air consumption, and enjoy the underwater world!
We always have plenty of drinking water on board as well as a fresh fruit snack between dives during your surface interval. Our dive boat is even equipped with a marine head (toilet), mask defog, fresh water hose, and camera rinse bucket.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide towels, sunscreen, or cameras, so be sure to bring your own or feel free to purchase something at the shop before your excursion starts.
After your dives, guests have access to the American Yacht Harbor marina shower facilities and you may rinse, dry, and store your equipment at the shop if you are diving with us for multiple days in a row.
We hope you appreciate the hard work of our crew and remember that gratuity is NOT included in the price of your excursion. Industry standard is 20% and we can accept cash or Venmo.
Red Hook Dive Center provides daily two-tank dive trips to a number of the best dive sites around St. Thomas. These sites offer all of the best of the SCUBA experience – thrilling views with beautiful colors, a wide variety of undersea vegetation and animal life, unique rock formations, and varying depths.
Specific dive sites are chosen daily based on weather and surface conditions, but we gladly accept requests and will do our best to accommodate them, so just let our reservation team know.
